Six Flags America

Located just 15 miles east of Washington, DC, this thrilling theme park in Largo, Maryland, is home to more than 100 rides, shows and attractions, including ten roller coasters and the Hurricane Harbor water park. Richmond International Raceway

Speed seekers will want to check out Richmond International Raceway in Virginia’s capital city. Known as America’s Premier Short Track and host to two annual NASCAR races, visitors can be a racecar driver for the day thanks to the track’s driving schools. Host to the 2014 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, Adventure Sports Center International in western Maryland operates the world’s only mountaintop whitewater course. The center also offers rock climbing and rappelling programs on natural rock formations.

Wisp Resort

Western Maryland’s Wisp Resort is home to a terrain park and 32 slopes, making it the perfect winter wonderland for skiing, snowboarding, ice skating and other winter sports. The resort’s thrilling Mountain Coaster is a cross between a roller coaster and an alpine slide, featuring 1,300 feet of upward track before twisting and turning 3,500 feet back downhill over 350 vertical feet on the eastern side of Wisp Mountain.

Massanutten Resort

This four-season resort located in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia keeps guests entertained year-round with a state-of-the-art indoor/outdoor water park, skiing and snow sports, two golf courses, zip lines and canopy tours.
